FAMOUS LAV Arquus: A Promodels scale model for Eurosatory 2026
FAMOUS2, the model!

Some models replicate vehicles that are already well known. Others provide a way to showcase the vehicles of tomorrow even before they enter service.
This is the case with this Promodels creation designed for Arquus as part of the European FAMOUS2 program—European Future Highly Mobile Augmented Armored Systems 2.
At Eurosatory 2026, the actual FAMOUS LAV demonstrator was on display at the Arquus / John Cockerill Defense booth. Its miniature replica, created by Promodels, also accompanied the program’s presentation.

The FAMOUS2 program, supported by the European Defense Fund, is developing new technologies for future European land platforms.
Mobility, protection, propulsion, electronic architecture, power generation, and weapons systems are among the areas being studied.
The project brings together several major European manufacturers, including Arquus, John Cockerill Defense, KNDS France, Patria, Kongsberg, Indra and Diehl Defence.
The vehicle replicated by Promodels is the FAMOUS LAV, a 4×4 light armored vehicle demonstrator for which Arquus developed, among other things, the body and the chassis.
It is intended to test technologies for future generations of reconnaissance and support vehicles.
In particular, the demonstrator explores a hybrid powertrain, a hydropneumatic suspension, and an electrical architecture that enables silent movement, silent watch, and the powering of numerous onboard systems.

The FAMOUS LAV model at Eurosatory 2026

Eurosatory 2026: The FAMOUS LAV scale model created by Promodels for Arquus, displayed in the area dedicated to the European FAMOUS2 program.
The Promodels model then found its way to its natural setting: Eurosatory 2026.
Displayed in a showcase within the FAMOUS2 program exhibit area, it allowed visitors, delegations, and industry representatives to explore the vehicle in a different form.
This is precisely one of the benefits of a professional model: making a complex project immediately understandable and extending its impact far beyond the trade show.
Promodels: Models to showcase the projects of tomorrow

For over 30 years, Promodels has been helping manufacturers create high-end professional military and industrial models.
Operational vehicles, prototypes, or future programs can be reproduced from blueprints, 3D files, and technical documentation for trade shows, showrooms, business meetings, or institutional presentations.
The FAMOUS LAV is a perfect example of this: transforming a technological program weighing several metric tons into a scale model just a few centimeters in size, without losing its identity.
After all, the vehicles of the future need their models, too.
