A whole story in just a few square centimeters...

Created as a personalized gift, this diorama depicts a French UNIFIL logistics convoy in Lebanon in October 2025. Beyond the VAB, the PPLOG, and the details of the scenery, the goal was to recreate a familiar atmosphere and a lasting memory for the recipient.
Particular attention was paid to the composition of the scene. The checkpoints, flags, observation post, construction debris, and local vegetation all contribute to creating a cohesive and instantly recognizable atmosphere. The positioning of the vehicles naturally guides the viewer’s gaze while reinforcing the sense of movement.
The weathering work sought to reproduce the effects of prolonged deployment in a dry environment: dust on the undercarriages, signs of wear on the vehicles, integration of elements into the terrain, and aging infrastructure.
Beyond its model-making aspect, this diorama is also a tribute to the logistical support missions carried out daily in theaters of operations. It serves as a reminder that behind every operational action lie the transport, protection, and resupply capabilities essential to the mission’s success.
Finally, this project illustrates the true value of military dioramas: telling a story, contextualizing the equipment, and giving meaning to its operational use through a scaled-down scene.
