The model Promodels
The Berliet GPE truck is a tank lifter specially designed to operate in moderately uneven terrain.
The GPE3 is only built in 2 copies but slightly modified and suitable for carrying different types of light tanks. It was ordered in early 1939, in 20 copies under the new designation GPE4. It is this last vehicle, without any other evolution, that will be retained in the war program.
After an initial delay of two months, the first 12 GPE4s were delivered between 20 May and 2 June 1940.

A very colorful set
The gradient of green makes an extremely realistic and "lived" appearance to the vehicle.
This model is quite imposing, the whole lifting / carrying system is very interesting to reproduce and we can notice that with the figurine of the driver the driving is on the right.

The Berliet GPE4 model in detail

It's all in the detail

As you can see in this photo, our models are not limited to reproducing a 3D file but to making a real detailed model with the right materials adapted according to their precise use.
As in reality, 2 types of tires are used including the very typical "track grip".
The metal photo-cutting brings finesse and strength for parts that would otherwise be too fragile.

The different components are clearly visible before painting and the details stand out to reveal all the quality of the model as well as the work of the model maker.

The different elements of the vehicle are faithfully reproduced as you can see on the rear tray composed of wooden slats and non-slip sheets.
Note the oil stains for even more realism!

No beautiful model without good documentation

The complete understanding of the hoist / carrying system makes it possible to understand the different functions of each part and thus to achieve them in the best possible way.

The realization of such a model is a real work of model maker because as you suspect, we did not rely on the 3D files from Berliet to design our prototype.
And as usual, to offer the best to our customers, we combine our know-how acquired for more than 25 years with new technologies in order to offer a high-end product.
Branding our industry is important to us and we are proud to participate with our means.

Good documentation is a must !
We are happy to contribute, very modestly, to the conservation of our heritage through the realization of quality miniatures and, also, through this means to tell part of our story.
Our future is built on our history and our technological successes of yesterday forge our knowledge of tomorrow.
