The essential step in pre-production

It is at this stage that all our upstream design work takes shape in order to optimize our production.
Optimizing quality and production without impacting the budget
At Promodels, our thinking is always guided by a clear objective: to meet your expectations with the best quality/price ratio. With over 30 years of experience, we know—and can prove—that producing a model in small batches often costs 3 to 4 times more than producing in medium or large series. That’s why we prioritize a design optimized from the start: fewer losses, simplified assembly, and consistent quality.
The GBC 180 model is a perfect example, combining accuracy, durability, and cost control, to satisfy both collectors and professionals.

A complete and detailed model
Sample GBC 180 of chosen durable materials

GBC 180 truck model designed with carefully selected materials, combining realism, durability, and finesse, for a high-end and lasting finish.
A second key aspect in the creation of a quality model lies in the choice of materials suitable for each use.
We prioritize an intelligent and proven composition: a resin structure for shape accuracy, plastic wheels paired with rubber tires for a realistic look, steel axles for strength, and delicate parts made with photo-etched metal for finer details. Transparent vinyl windows ensure a clear and realistic appearance, while high-definition decals complete the set. Each material was chosen with care to offer this GBC 180 model a perfect balance between aesthetics, realism, and durability.

As you can see in this image, when we talk about details, we’re also referring to the rivets that hold the plates and reflective strips in place—but the fire extinguisher and the Desautel logo haven’t been overlooked either, even on parts that measure only a few millimeters.

This may seem insignificant, but beautiful quality tires with a design that looks like it should be are essential for a top-of-the-line final product.
Similarly, steel axles allow for a solid and robust model that full resin 3D productions cannot offer.
The next step will be the presentation of the final model
